Kiba Karasu SDL Profile

Here's an alt char for the SDL that I put together... this one is going to be of a more... morally flexible character than Seiji.

Background: Kiba travelled around when he was younger, originally a slave. He was treated poorly, and well, was sold off to a group that was interested in pushing a body to the limits. Kiba learned what pain was there, and because of this incident, he is not understanding of it to this day.

When he turned 11, he decided to use the knowledge that his captors had inadvertantly given him, and used it onthem to effect his freedom, at the cost of their lives. He fled, and was eventually found by a travelling group of Geisha. The company did other things besides the traditional companionship methods, they worked as information brokers and information extraction.

Kiba learned from the guild, proving himself quite adept at getting information from people, and worked his way up the ranks by the time he was 15, he was trusted to look into matters on his own. He continued his own studies into how the human body worked as well, consulting information ranging from India, China as well as Europe.

He heard of the SDL, and his superiors in the clan felt it would be a good place for him to expand his skills. He set up shop, and eventually drew the attention of the Gokiburi-Gumi. Since that time, he has been working for them in the town, and owns a higher-end establishment for information gathering and such for the Gokiburi-Gumi (and others that can pay), via a Geisha House/Host Club.

Personality: Kiba is a little playful with people verbally, and does come across as being rather friendly. He is an excellent listener, and also incredibly patient. It is unclear as to whether or not the emotions he expresses are rehearsed reactions or genuine. It is known that he does look after his employees and does seem to have some emotional tie to them, but again, maybe it was how he was trained when he was younger.

He doesn't understand pain at all, due to his early childhood, and sometimes experiments on himself with things to see if he would feel something. In a fight, he tends to be sloppy on defense, and will actually get genuinely excited if he thinks someone might be able to make him feel.

Weapons: The weapons he uses are metal fans that are modified. The function similarly to how Ivy's weapon from Soul Calibur works, except the default forn is the fan... it is effective for longer range stabbing or a radial slash.

Other Notes: Kiba is exceptionally skilled at physiology and reflexology, form his studies. He has studied yoga, various tantric practices as well, and also various unarmed fighting displines. He also is familiar with various information gathering techniques ranging from simple conversation to interrogation if the need arises. He is an excellent dancer though, and does perform Noh for his patrons if requested.

His sleeves under his jacket are covered in a reinforced material, as well as his neck area (he does realize the necessity to protect the areas). He also got into the habit of wearing white face paint, similar to that women use to highlight their features at night. He discovered it had a psychological impact on some prior opponents.
