Background: Seiji was raised by a Naga clan close to the Emperor of the Realm from the dimension he comes from. His birth parents died when he was an infant, and was raised by the people he considers family now. Even though he was a bit clumsy as a child, he was always regarded as a prodigy, and it was discovered he was the inheritor of secret knowledge which is passed down from one generation to the next, and maintains it's secrecy, ensuring that certain knowledge does not get 'leaked' sooner than it should (mostly advanced magic theories and such).
He got involved in the OCBZ since there were dimensional rifts opening up across his realm, wreaking havoc, and upon request from the Emperor, was asked to look into it. He discovered that the rifts didn't only affect this world, and later found out that there was a tournament organized by some party beyond his realm that was arranging duels.
The Emperor asked him to participate in the tournament as best he can, while trying to learn about the other worlds out there that communication might become possible with.

Powers/abilities: Seiji has access to a number of spells and special abilities, most of which are aspected to water and ice. He can bring waves crashing down on people, or flash freeze a pool of water as an example. He tends to be very conscious of what he does with it, to avoid collateral damage as best as possible, but he does understand it is necessary at times.
He has received training in hand to hand combat and sword fighting, and uses a blade which has the crossguard made out of the jawbone of a mythic serpent (rumor has it the fang actually houses some of it's poison, which is extremely toxic).
Seiji can also appear as a human if needed, since some realms he has travelled to were less than polite to him because of his nature.
Seiji is quite intelligent and tries to think out situations as best as possible, and tries to come up with a few options based on the situation.

Personality: Seiji carries the burden of having to safeguard knowledge which, should it fall into the wrong hands, could be catastrophic. He understands he might need to do something extreme to protect it, but tries to go with the best outcome possible.
Seiji also can get a little frustrated with what he has to do, since he really does want to go to school, and do other things, but his inheritted task sometimes causes complications in that area of his life. He sometimes would jsut enjoy the option of just curling up and surf the Net on his laptop (which he carries in a backpack).

Equipment of note:

Besides the sword, Seiji has a laptop in his knapsack (a one strap backpack), usually some notebooks or books to read... and a pistol. He's learned that sometimes, the most subtle means of dealing with a situation involves a firearm... and they work faster than casting a complex spell.
